Frequently Asked Questions

About Scapegoats Belong
  • Scapegoats Belong is built on a simple but powerful idea: everyone deserves a place where they feel accepted for who they are. Many people have spent years feeling like the black sheep, the misfit, the outsider, or the one who never quite fit into their family, workplace, or community. We believe that being different isn't something to hide—it's something to celebrate. Here, belonging isn't about changing who you are. It's about finding people who appreciate you exactly as you are.

  • This community is for anyone who has ever felt like they didn't quite fit in. That includes family scapegoats, black sheep, misfits, outsiders, trailblazers, cycle breakers, independent thinkers, and people who have had to build their own support systems because they didn't have the traditional support of a close-knit family. If you've ever felt misunderstood or like your life has unfolded differently than society expected, you're welcome here.

  • Not at all. While many members of our community identify as family scapegoats or black sheep, others simply relate to the experience of feeling different. Whether you've broken unhealthy family patterns, chosen an unconventional path, or simply struggled to find where you belong, Scapegoats Belong was created for you too.

Products
  • Our artwork is available on a growing collection of products, including t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, mugs, journals, tote bags, wall art, water bottles, and more. We regularly introduce new designs and products as the community grows.

  • Each apparel product includes a detailed sizing chart to help you find the best fit. We recommend comparing the measurements to a favorite shirt or hoodie you already own. If you're between sizes and prefer a looser fit, sizing up is often a good choice.

Shipping
  • Production typically takes several business days before your order ships. Shipping times vary depending on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.

  • We currently ship to many countries around the world. Shipping availability depends on the destination and the specific product. During checkout, you'll see whether shipping is available to your location.

  • Shipping costs are calculated automatically during checkout based on your location, the products you've ordered, and the shipping method you choose. You'll always see the total shipping cost before completing your purchase.

Returns
  • Because every product is printed specifically for you, we generally cannot accept returns for buyer's remorse, ordering the wrong size, or changing your mind. Please review product descriptions and sizing charts carefully before placing your order.

  • If your order arrives damaged, defective, or with a printing error, please contact us within a reasonable time after delivery. Include your order number and clear photos of the issue, and we'll work with our printing partner to make it right.

  • Since each item is custom made, we cannot usually exchange items ordered in the wrong size. We encourage customers to review the sizing chart carefully before ordering. If you have questions before placing an order, we're always happy to help.

Designs
  • Each collection tells a different part of the journey.

Cycle Breakers celebrates those who choose to stop unhealthy patterns and create a better future.

Belonging is about finding acceptance, chosen family, friendship, and the place where you finally feel at home.

Black Sheep honors those who dare to be different—the independent thinkers, trailblazers, creators, and people who refuse to shrink themselves just to fit in.

Together, these collections celebrate the courage it takes to become your authentic self.

  • Absolutely! We love hearing ideas from our community. While we can't promise every suggestion will become a product, many of our best ideas begin with conversations from people just like you. Feel free to reach out through our contact page and tell us what you'd love to see.

  • Yes. While some artwork may naturally appeal more to one audience than another, our goal is to create designs that are meaningful to everyone. We believe that feeling like an outsider, a cycle breaker, or a trailblazing black sheep isn't limited by gender. We also plan to continue expanding our collections with artwork that reflects a wide variety of experiences, perspectives, and styles.

  • This gives you a chance to explain that the black sheep has long been used as a symbol of exclusion, but at Scapegoats Belong you've reclaimed it as a symbol of courage, authenticity, resilience, and belonging. It's a memorable way to tie your visual identity to your mission.
